The Old Joint Stock

We start our Graveyard Ghost Walk and finish our Sinister City Ghost Walk close to  The Old Joint Stock

On the Friday before Halloween we ran a joint Meal and Ghost Walk. The meal started at 7:00 p.m. and we told a few Ghost stories between courses before departing for the Ghost Walk around 8:30. We hope to repeat the combination again soon.

The Old Joint Stock Pub is located in the heart of Birmingham’s city centre amongst the banks and international commerce and opposite the cathedral. Built in 1864, this grade two listed building was designed by Julius Alfred Chatwin, best known as a builder of many Victorian churches. Prior to being taken over by Lloyds Bank in 1889 it was the Birmingham Joint Stock Bank.

The building became one of Fuller’s prime outlets in 1997 and the Old Joint Stock Theatre opened in October 2006.

They serve good food from a seasonal menu from 12noon until 10pm Monday to Saturday so it is a great place to finish off your Sinister City Ghost Walk. If you buy a Ghost Walk Ticket and 2 Course Meal together the combined price is just £18. Choose from the Theatre Menu. Combined tickets are available in person from the Theatre Box office and will soon be available on line.

You might also like to combine a meal with one of our Saturday or Sunday walks with Sunday serving of meals from 12noon until 4pm. Ask whilst on the walk for details.

They offer a full range of Fuller’s Ales, as well as a local guest ale and an extensive wine list. Their pies are legendary; their service friendly and their staff attentive.
